XB259: The Tail Boom
The photograph on the right shows connection panel for an intercom headset on the starboard side of the Boom at the front.
I spent many an hour connected to one of these on the way to and from dropping zones.

Inside the Tail boom. Looking forward left and aft right.
The green screens in the forward view hide the ladders to the Freight Bay.
Paratroop seats are fitted down each side.

LEFT: A manneqiun of a paratroop at the side of the paratroop exit. He would in reality have been directly in front of the exit facing aft. A perspex screen is in front of the figure to prevent an adventurous visitor going a bit too far.
RIGHT: The parachute exit showing the doors opened sideways. Beyond the exit is the entrance to the toilet. A place many a trainee paratroop wished he was in immediately before the green light came on.

LEFT: The Flap actuating motor and a method of overcoming motor failure.
CENTRE: Ditching exit in the starboard side of the Tail boom.
RIGHT: Attachment point for the static line cable
